About 23 years ago, I remember two little girls looking up at me with big brown eyes. These two cuties were just many of my husband’s (boyfriend at the time) nieces and nephews…he’s the youngest of eight! One of them was Jocelyn, and this is who’s wedding I’m thrilled to share today.
If you don’t already know, I’ll let you in on a little secret, I LOVE weddings! I absolutely adore them and when it’s my couples wedding day, I’m so happy! So, when it’s my own niece’s wedding and I’m her truely honored photographer, as an Aunt I feel so lucky to have a backstage pass to her incredible day and moments!!! I couldn’t imagine it any other way! Enough about me and onto to the story of these two beautiful people inside and out!
They were introduced by friends at a house party and the rest is history! Ehren proposed in a personalized escape room and caught Jocelyn totally off guard, which is amazing for her!
On a gorgeous and really hot summer’s day, these two said their vows to one another and began their long life of love and happiness together!
Of course, not without emotional tears from Jocelyn when getting ready as she read her letter from Ehren or during the speeches…the rest all smiles from ear to ear, laughter, and joy with all their family and friends, and much love for one another.
What a gorgeous Ukranian church, with a ceremony we all won’t forget. When Ehren saw his gorgeous wife to be, he tried hard to keep it together. Many traditions to be had, and one was walking around the pulpit, with the maid of honor and best man, carrying crowns over the bride and groom’s heads. Well, it was a very hot and humid day, and it was kind of entertaining watching Ehren’s brother hold up this crown for what seemed a very long time without dropping it. I loved their ceremony with all of the symbolic traditions that were performed!
Off to Parkwood Estates in Oshawa for a gorgeous setting for their photos. Then to their wedding reception at the Ajax Convention Centre.
From lots of food, drinks, family, friends, speeches and oh can’t forget the dancing! The wedding party had their own little choreographed dance as well, the family members (my idea) did a choreographed mob dance…..so awesome!!!! Jocelyn’s freaked over it, as she had no idea…it was so much fun!!!! Her mom’s side of the family are Ukranian, so lots of great Uki dancing too! Jocelyn did an incredible job at all the stunning details and decorations herself.
They make each other laugh, to be a better person, supportive to one another and totally and utterly in love….I wish and know they will have a lifetime of being there for what life brings on…forever and ever! Live, love, laugh!
Here is a glimpse into their special moments of their day. Love, Heather xo
